The big cobia and kings are here!

Cobia! Cobia! Cobia!

Captain’s Blog – December 1, 2009 – Marathon Florida Keys – Happy Day!  The Florida Keys threw a hurricane season and nobody showed! As the saying goes, “the weather is great – wish you were here!”

The weather pattern this time of year in the Florida Keys runs like clockwork.  Stretches of delightful days filled with mild temperatures, calm winds and abundant sunshine are interrupted by cold fronts that occur on fairly regular intervals.

Just as our seasonal visitors from up north have begun to trickle back to the Keys, so have the big cobia and kingfish in the Gulf!  Cobia in the 30- to 50-pound range along with hefty king mackerel are thick on the Gulf wrecks right now.

Give us a call to get in on this light tackle frenzy!  We have a few spots left for the second half of December, but that won’t last.  Call today to secure your date.  305-743-5305.
